Description
This Sand Bag is made to be filled with sand and strapped to the bottom of each leg to hold the marquee down on the ground.
This bag should be able to be filled with sand so that it weighs around 10kg. If you choose to fill the bag with lead shot instead, it will be considerably heavier.
Our design also incorporates a peg hole so that you can peg the weight down to the ground too.

FAQs
Do marquees need to be anchored?
Absolutely. The number one reason marquees get damaged in windy conditions is because they're not secured to the ground. Regardless how strong your marquee is, if it picks up and flies away, it will likely get damaged. Not only that, but it's a massive safety risk to those around as a marquee that's out of control can cause a lot of damage and injury.
Do marquee sand bags work?
Marquee sand bags can work very well because they're simple to use and a known "hold down". Pegs can lose hold down power in soft or loose soil, whereas sandbags are solid and suitable for any surface.
How much weight do you need to hold down a marquee?
It all depends on the wind speed you're going to be using your marquee in (which varies day to day). If you are likely to set up in windy or unpredictable conditions, then you should definitely consider our cast iron weights instead (or a combination of both). The cast iron weights are stackable, so it is much easier to meet the required weight for the conditions with these.
I don't have a Canopy Outdoor marquee. Can I use your weights with my frame?
Our sandbags are compatible with most portable marquee brands, as they simply Velcro around the leg and sit on top of the foot plate. If you have any doubt, please contact us and we can confirm if these will be suitable.
